Pass the matchsticks please ....
I'm very bleary eyed again this morning .... thanks to A) getting some very exciting news last night (can't tell all the news yet sorry hehehehe) which meant a late'ish night for me, B) no sooner than I was drifting off the phone rings or at least I think it did .... I wasn't sure ... so tossed and turned a bit before it rang again ... mad dash down the stairs ...heart beating to the tune of "what's happened that I would be getting a call past midnight" (I'm sure most of you know that particular beat) ... anyway it turns out to be one of Daves workmates who phoned the landline number in error. C) By which time Emily decided she could no longer sleep either so she and I played a game of "you go to sleep- no YOU go to sleep" for a couple of hours in my bed ... she caved first and drifted off at around 5:30'sh...D) just in time for me to get up with Sarah. Oh the Joy!
The once bit of exciting news I can share with you is ... Dave starts working DAY SHIFT next week .... after 4+ years of nightshift it's so exciting to be rearranging our lives back into a normal scheme of things and having ...wooohoooo weekends free. Plus all the other bonuses of having a husband home in the evenings ...out the gutter, gals!
I have to say, despite the lack of sleep, I can't help feeling like maybe, things are coming right for us. Pieces of the jigsaw are starting to fall into place... finding the girls places in school was remarkably easy despite being told 2 months earlier the schools were full, our first choice in houses becomes available last weekend (please, please pray/cross everything that it all goes through without a hitch), Dave gets his dayshift (which also includes 4 extra hours work per shift), I have 4 exciting invitations upcoming, Hannah & Kate got 10/10 for their spelling test & 20/20 for mental maths, ..... need I go on. LOL
Somewhere someone is smiling down on us ..... giving me the warm fuzzys.
Hope your days are blissful dahlinks.
