Tuesdays Tooth fairy ....

... ok so I started this morning in a mad panic because Kate lost one of her front teeth yesterday (and as my blummin' camera is not working I cannot take a pic ....grrrrr) ....and the fairy was supposed to visit and hadn't... or so I thought. Thanks goodness the substitute fairy aka Dave, was on duty last night and Kate woke up to a bright, shiny, new one pound coin! Of course I only found this out after scrabbling around in jean pockets/bags/penny jars like a mad woman ... even considered going down to the street corner to beg at 5:30am!
So while I was quietly having my coffee this morning (after the tooth fairy panic attack) I suddenly became aware that I was sitting slumped , shoulders rounded ... I realised I had assumed the posture of a defeated person (my granny would be most disapproving) ... so I've made a descion, despite the lack of sleep and self confidence, the everyday worries, etc, etc ... I'm going to take what life has to offer and face it like a confident woman (with good posture of course), back straight, shoulders down, chin up, purposeful walk.... (cue the I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR background music).
Not a lot happened yesterday apart from one of the lil' jewels altering my keyboard with a Chestnut Roan inkpad. All the keys are inked round the edges and it now has a lovely, antique look about it. I also noticed that they has been e-mailing ... so if any strange gobbley-gook arrives in your inbox from me ... please be aware I have not totally lost my mind, it's a letter from either a 2 or 3 year old.
Today is my friend, Justine's birthday ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARL' ... and a couple of us are off to Kings Cafe for tea and cake (..one day it'll be the Ritz ...) this morning. I'm really looking forward to it and although I had planned on starting the Cambridge diet this week I think it may have to wait till next monday. Actually, I quite fancy the idea of being a "lady wot lunches" ... on something other than cheesestrips, petit flous and the sandwich crusts left on the plate by Sarah who won't eat them, that is.... #sigh# one day. (*note to self*: must learn to play tennis once diet is finished and find a club to meet at for lunch or else image wuld be incomplete)
Right me lovelies, I must away to feed the ofspring, try straighten out the school clothes (why oh why did I not take the washing out the tumble dryer straight away!!!) and face the daily battle of getting Sarah into pre-school ..
Have a confident, happy tuesday dahlinks.

My great long (shark, as my kids say) nails have scratched certain letters off my keyboard, and as I'm hunt and peck at best I have to guess at the letters now - much to the amusement of my msn buddies who think i'm drunk all the time - or thick!
