Wooohooo it's thursday ...

Which means...YIPPITY SKIPS... it's 24hours closer to wooohoo it's friday. Yesterday I picked up a copy of Creative Scrapbooking ... must say it feel strange being back in print, nice but strange. I'm still wrestling with the thoughts of am I really cut out for magazine work???? I love the interactive, person-to-person aspect of scrapbooking and when designing for a magazine that part is lost... ok it seems my mind has gone awandering again... sorry dahlinks. I must say before I change the subject... the CS design team are the most awesomely talented group of scrapbookers and I feel a bit like I'm swimming with the "big guys" and am a litttle out of my depth. And I absolutely have to give Mandy Anderson a big TOOT TOOT for her first issue as editor - what an amazing gal she is ... just wubs her to bits! A little later ......Oops sorry was interrupted mid blogging by a tired and tantrum throwing Emily. Emily and I are going through a meltdown at the moment and I think the problem is she is not coping with 5 mornings a week at school ... she's being over stimulated and it's resulting with sleepless nights and 3:30 to 4am wake ups, tantrums 'cos she's tired, tantrums from me too 'cos I'm tired and I don't know what the solution is. Our poor neighbours have had to listen to Emily screaming blue murder since 4am this morning till 7am when I coaxed her to back to bed and to sleep (bet you're all crossing yourselves and thanking the good Lord you don't live next door to us aren't ya). I will have to wake her in 40mins (cue more tantrums) in order for us to get everyone to school on time. (I have an appt with h & K's teacher at 8:30). I now have 3 other lil' jewels who are also tired because they were woken at the crack of dawn. So my question is do you think she will eventually settle into a routine because so far we've had 10 badly disruptive nights and I'm at breaking point or is she just tooooooo young for a full week? Added to my dilemma is .. I'm really enjoying getting back into the swing of things re: getting out the house and working again ... I'm working in a fab enviromnent with wonderful people by the way. So, my final question for this morning is ..... can anyone tell where to find the DIY manual on how to do the"mummy thing" right? Hope your day is FABULOUS dahlinks MWAH

Utterly fab seeing you not only in print Debs, but front cover too - and you are a BIG FISH honey!

As for that mummy manual - I think you'll find it with the odd socks and the felt tip pen lids! ... I am sure that is where mine must be. Hugs to you and hope Emily settles soon, am sure she will. It is a change of routine, but a routine nevertheless and she (and you) will get used to it hun.

You don't need the manual, honeycakes, you're already doing a fabulous job. Em will settle, Deb - and the routine will be great for her. I'm sure once she's properly settled in her sleep pattern will become more 'normal'. You are a stupendous scrapper - I agree with Ann - YOU ARE A BIG FISH!! Just keep swimming :) xxx
